Event Staff / Waitstaff
$18 per hour
Fun Coast Bartending is looking for dependable, personable event staff and waitstaff to join our team for weddings, private parties, corporate events, fundraisers, and other special events throughout Florida's Fun Coast.
This is not a bartending position. Our event staff help keep events running smoothly by assisting with guest service, food and beverage service, clearing, resetting, and other event-related duties.
What You'll Do
Depending on the event, responsibilities may include:
- Serving passed appetisers, plated meals, or buffet service
- Clearing plates, glassware, and other service items
- Bussing and resetting tables
- Maintaining guest and service areas
- Refilling water and non-alcoholic beverages
- Assisting with light event setup and breakdown
- Supporting bartenders, caterers, venue staff, and event managers as needed
- Helping provide friendly, professional guest service throughout the event
What We're Looking For
You don't need to be a career server, but you do need to be dependable and comfortable working with people. Our best event staff are:
- Reliable and punctual
- Friendly and guest-focused
- Comfortable working on their feet for several hours
- Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Willing to jump in where needed
- Professional in appearance and attitude
- Available for evening and weekend events
Previous restaurant, catering, banquet, hospitality, or event experience is helpful, but not required for every position.
Pay & Scheduling
Event Staff / Waitstaff earn $18 per hour.
Positions are offered on an à la carte basis, meaning you can accept events that work with your availability rather than committing to a traditional weekly schedule. Most opportunities are evenings and weekends.
Tips may occasionally be received at an event, but tips are considered a bonus and should not be expected as part of the compensation for this role.
Event locations vary throughout Flagler County, Volusia County, and surrounding areas, so reliable transportation is important.
A Different Kind of Side Gig
This can be a great fit for someone looking to pick up occasional extra income without taking on another fixed work schedule. One week might be a wedding reception, the next a nonprofit gala, corporate dinner, festival, or private celebration.
Every event is a little different. That's kind of the fun of it.
